The Task
Upgrade to stair and ladder safety throughout the mine, including; The Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP), Plant and Building Access Stairs and Ladders, plus mining trucks.
Staircare’s special SPG Saddle Clip Assemblies are SS316 stainless steel fixing sets designed to streamline SPG70 stair tread nosing installation.
Each assembly includes a Saddle Clip with a welded nut, paired with an MS socket button-head bolt pre-coated with Loctite that activates during installation for secure, vibration-resistant fastening. This all-stainless, ready-to-install combination significantly improves installation speed and reliability for SPG70 Stair Tread Nosing.

Staircare SPG Slip Resistance items conform with:

Project Outcomes
Glencore Maintenance staff are progressing with the stair and ladder safety program, with SPG 70 stair tread nosing and SPG ladder rung covers being installed throughout the operation.
