The Task
ExxonMobil’s West Kingfish Offshore Platform in Bass Strait identified pipeline crossings as a major slip hazard through its Operations Integrity Management (OIM) safety assessment.
Staircare was engaged to provide an immediate solution by custom manufacturing FRP half-round pipeline covers with integrated anti-slip protection.
Staircare produced 165mm diameter FRP ½ round pipe covers, finished in safety yellow with enhanced UV protection and coated with offshore-grade silicon carbide anti-slip grit.

Project Outcomes
A total of 120 linear metres of SPG half-round pipeline covers were supplied for installation by the platform maintenance team, delivering rapid improvement in worker safety across pipeline banks.
