StairCare Projects - Train Wash Facility

The Situation

John Holland Pty Ltd engaged Staircare to design and supply a suitable flooring system for the Train Wash Facility to cope with aggressive detergents with high pH levels. Due to Railway OH&S requirements panels could not exceed 20 Kg in weight and had to have excellent anti-slip properties.

The Solution

Staircare manufactured and supplied SC-R 38 x 38mm square mesh, 25mm thick with silicon oxide anti-slip grit to cover all drainage channels in this 80 metre long building. The 1.1 metre wide x 80 metre long service trench was covered with Staircare SC-R grated plates with silicon oxide anti-slip grit. Each panel had two lifting lug holes cut. Grates and plates had to be cut to accommodate pipes and other penetrations.

The adjacent Pump & Control room also had SC-R cover plates cut and supplied to suit. Staircare supplied all components on time and to budget.
