StairCare Projects - Carpet on Concrete Stairs

The Situation
The Garvan Institute of Medical Research building contains two stunning circular staircases. The carpet started to show wear at the edge of the steps and slipping was of a major concern.

The Solution
Staircare supplied and installed SC6 stair nosing clear anodised with black insert to compliment the existing stainless steel and glass balustrades. The black anti-slip insert offers visual contrast and excellent slip resistance. The installation included 44 @ 1150mm and 132 @ 1000mm SC6 stair treads, all installed as centre bars.
