luminescent anti-slip stair nosings provide the usual function of step protection
in addition to emitting a high intensity glow during power failures and
emergency evacuations.
Staircare Australia has developed a photo luminescent insert to fit three different stylish stair nosing profiles with excellent glow in the dark characteristics.
The photo-luminescent insert can be fitted to Staircare profile SC2. For profile details, please refer to the relevant product information sheet.
Staircare's stair tread range offers anti-slip protection to any stair
surface, be it carpet, timber, concrete or tiles for indoor or outdoor
use. We have managed to combine a smart look for when the lights are
on - and functionality with outstanding glow performance in the dark.
The luminous insert is made of acrylic material, Alkaline - Earth Aluminate and Silicate which are activated by Rare Earth Element. Its features include; high luminance, long lasting time in luminance and it is weather proof. The product is non toxic, non radioactive and has stable chemical properties.

- Initial > 5000 mcd / M 2
- 12 hours > 3mcd / M 2
- 15 hours: glow, after 15min exposure to sunlight / fluoro
The luminance of our insert exceeds the mining industry guide, which calls for a 12 hours (one shift) effective glow time.
